Working Party Activities
|
Recent activities of the Working Party (supported as usual by the Rangers working with the County Council)
include the following.
1. Much work has been done on the path between Llangorwen Church and the
railway bridge near Bow Street. This was the first place where the Group installed stiles (with help from
the BTCV) in 1994. To meet current standards all stiles have now been upgraded to kissing gates, and the
quality of the path has been much improved. It will be included in a walk on the forthcoming programme.
2. Following the Public Inquiry at which the path from Tanybwlch Beach running eastwards below
the mansion was added to the Definitive Map, the Working Party has undertaken clearance work and installed
new stiles and waymarking.
3. A very substantial bridge has been installed over Afon Arth at SN496624 (just about a mile south east of Aberarth). Within
the last year, two of our leaders took us to this spot to show where they had been unable to follow their original
intended route because the bridge at that time was missing. Can we do this walk again now please?
4. The footpath leading south west from Goginan has recently been opened with two new gates in the north west
corner of Coed Penbryn.
