The Aberystwyth Group of the Ramblers’ Association operates in the northern half of Ceredigion in Mid Wales.  It is part of the Ramblers’ Association  which represents the interests of walkers throughout Great Britain.

The activities and interests of the Aberystwyth Group are as follows:

Walks Programme The Group leads a programme of walks in the area. Non-members (including visitors to the area) are welcome to come along for up to three walks before they are expected to join the RA. Please note the precautions and advice attached to the programme. Note also that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED on RA walks with the Aberystwyth Group.

Walking in the Aberystwyth Area Some suggestions and advice are offered for anyone planning a walking holiday in the area - including information on the 60-mile Ceredigion Coast Path (Cardigan to Ynyslas) which was officially opened by Assembly Minister Jane Davidson in July 2008

Complaints Advice on how to make a complaint about the state of footpaths in the Aberystwyth area.

Footpath Working Party The Group’s Footpath Working Party have been selected as one of only three in Wales which were given an Award by the Ramblers’ Association of Great Britain "for their outstanding work on Public Rights of Way". Why not join the award-winning team?

On Line Walks Guide
The RA in Wales has supported the development of an On-Lines Walks Guide covering the whole of Wales. The number of walks is continually increasing. Already there are a considerable number in the Aberystwyth area. You can select walks by reference to a particular town (say, Aberystwyth), or area of interest (say, archaeology) or in many other ways.
